Scott Terry, Managing Partner
Scott has nearly 40 years of aerospace and defense industry experience with a successful track record of accomplishment as a senior executive. After ten years as a Naval Aviator, Scott entered the private sector as a foreign military sales consultant working for clients including Bristol Aerospace and TRW Aerospace. After four years as the Executive Vice President at Flight International Inc., he led the sale of the company to Veritas Capital and then served six years as the Director of Government Sales for Bombardier Aerospace. Scott founded Orion Air Group and Tempus Jets in 2007 and led the company’s growth from start-up to a $200+ million annual revenue industry leader in special mission aircraft modifications, operations, and leasing. Customers included Tier 1 Prime Contractors including Northrop Grumman and L3 Communications as well as US and Foreign Government agencies. After exiting Orion/Tempus in 2019, Scott formed SST Aerospace along with partners Danny Sullivan and Kory Tarpenning to provide strategic planning and business development advisory services for US companies competing in internationally and international firms desiring to enter into the US Aerospace & Defense market.

Sheldon Early, Vice President, Operations
Sheldon began his career as a degreed Electrical Engineer at the Naval Aviation Maintenance Depot in Pensacola, FL. In the 30 years since, Sheldon has held senior leadership positions at AEL and Stevens Aerospace & Defense. In 1996, Sheldon was responsible for winning the largest US Government contract in Stevens Aviation’s history which is still in place today, nearly 30 years later. He joined Orion Air Group in 2008 where he led numerous complex aircraft modification programs totaling more than $500 million in contract value and was a key element of the executive team. Sheldon has been a senior advisor to SST Aerospace since its formation and now serves as Vice President of Business of Operations.

Danny Sullivan, President
Danny Sullivan is a former professional auto racing champion who competed in Formula 1, Indy Car, NASCAR, and Le Mans. After retirement from competitive auto racing, Danny has held positions with Lexus, Penske, Red Bull, and other well-known international brands for the past 25 years. Danny was also a Senior Advisor to Tempus Jets, Inc. and affiliated companies from 2008 until 2019. Danny has extensive international business experience and invaluable relationships around with world with governments, corporations and influential individuals.

Katherine Terry, Business Manager
Katherine Terry is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Public Relations. Katherine spent eight years working as the Marketing and Public Relations Manager for Tempus Jets, Inc. and affiliated companies. Katherine has been a lead proposal writer, being a part of more than $500M in defense contract awards. She formed Green Skyy Holdings in 2017 to pursue opportunities in aviation related logistics having coordinated and delivered more than $1 million in humanitarian relief supplies to Puerto Rico after the hurricane disaster in the autumn of 2017.

Kory Tarpenning, Senior Advisor
Kory Tarpenning is a former world-class athlete having competed in two Olympic Games as a pole vaulter – finishing fourth in the Barcelona Olympics in 1988. Kory is currently the owner of multiple businesses in in Monaco and France to include partnerships with Nike, Starbucks, and Red Bull. Kory brings a tremendous amount of business experience and contacts within the international diplomatic and financial communities to SST as part of our advisory and consulting business.

Su Dong Lim, Senior Advisor
Su Dong Lim is a highly respected and experienced aviation executive based in Seoul, South Korea. Lim is a rated pilot in Bombardier Global Express and Challenger and was the Bombardier Aerospace representative in Korea, South Asia for 30 years. Lim owns and manages other aviation properties such as Fixed Base Operations (FBO) and aircraft hangar storage facilities in Korea and throughout South Asia. Lim is an integral component of SST Aerospace’s sales and marketing efforts worldwide and offers tremendous strategic and technical competency to our team.

Derek Gilmour, Senior Advisor
Derek Gilmour is an experienced aviation professional with more than 45 years in the industry. Mr. Gilmour spent 37 years with Bombardier Aerospace serving in multiple roles such as Regional Vice President, Vice President Special Mission Aircraft Sales, Vice President Sales and Marketing - Aircraft Services and finally Vice President, Sales and Administration, Specialized and Amphibious Aircraft and Military Aviation Training. In 2014, Mr. Gilmour joined Marshall’s Aerospace and Defence Group as President of North America, responsible in North America for supporting the Maintainability of the Canadian Gvmt C-130 fleet and business development/growth with the large North American OEM’s. Gilmour retired in January 2020.
